Summary: The Officers' Association Scotland was founded in 1920 as a quite distinct branch of its sister association in London - the Officers' Association - to assist officers resident in Scotland to find work and to relieve poverty. Financial assistance is available to officers who served in the Armed Forces, or their dependents, who are resident in Scotland. There are two types of grant: assistance with daily living expenses through an annual grant paid quarterly; single payment grants for items of expenditure which are beyond the means of the individual. A full explanation of the grants and their administration is contained in our Benevolence Handbook via our website.
